A Kenyan woman spotted on the viral home CCTV footage being assaulted by her husband has broken her silence and explained how she has been doing since that incident.  Cynthia, from Kiambu county, was spotted being assaulted by her now ex-husband in their kitchen, during which he tossed milk at her, hit her with a cup and slapped her while pointing at her.  Speaking to Kenayn publication, TUKO, the mother of one revealed that the incident happened on December 25, 2024, when her househelp left their house without informing them.  “I went and told him that our househelp had left with her things. He told me to give him her number so that he could try to call her. As I was reading out the number, I messed up one digit, and so the call went to another person. This is when he became furious and started assaulting me,” she recounted  “He tossed the milk at me, as shown in the video, accusing me of having made the house help leave. The little boy who defended me is not my biological child, but my stepchild, whom I raised and loved since I raised him when he was eight months old,” she said, adding that the little girl spotted running away in fear is her less than two-year-old girl, whom she shares with the man.  Cynthia managed to leave the marriage two days after that incident, but would later return, before leaving again for good. “It was too toxic and abusive. I left with my daughter for good. I know everyone has been wondering if I am okay since that video went viral, and yes I can confirm I am,” she added.  When the video went viral, Cynthia went to the police station over the weekend, and her estranged husband also appeared, and they both agreed to move on and stay away from one another.  “Yes, we met at the Thika Police Station, and I was informed by the police that I could not make a report right now since the matter happened in December of 2024. We will stay away from each other, and he will also see our daughter several times each week. “I need a job so that I can provide for myself and my daughter. So I plead with any well-wisher out there with any opportunity to help me out,” she added.  Watch the video below  The post Woman assaulted by her husband in viral home CCTV footage breaks silence (video) appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
