Similarly, the new pump price has been implemented in several filling stations across Kogi and Nasarawa states, reflecting a ₦65 increment.
Naija News reports that this development follows last weekend’s increase by independent petroleum marketers and filling station owners in Abuja, who adjusted their prices to between ₦950 and ₦971 per litre.
Their decision was attributed to the recent upward review of the ex-depot petrol price by Dangote Refinery to ₦858 per litre, up from ₦820.
Findings carried out by Naija News, on Monday, indicate that petrol is selling for as high as ₦910 per litre in some parts of Kwara State, while some filling stations in Ilorin, the state capital, are selling between ₦870 and ₦885 per litre.

A former presidential aide to late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has alleged that some political actors are lobbying former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Ahmad, made the claim in a post on his official 𝕏 handle on Monday, warning that the move appears driven by political convenience rather than genuine plans for national development.
He said, “From all indications, there are ongoing subtle moves by certain political elements trying to convince former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest again in 2027.
“They calculate that his candidacy will be easy to market in the North under the guise that he would only serve a single term.”
The former presidential aide, however, expressed concern over the underlying motive for Jonathan’s potential return, arguing that the North should not be used as a stepping stone for power rotation.

One of the protest leaders, Retired Corporal Umar Faruq, expressed frustration over what he described as “deliberate neglect” by authorities.
Faruq disclosed that the Military Pensions Board had informed the retirees that they were not entitled to benefit from the new national minimum wage adjustments because they had been disengaged from service as of July 1, 2024.
