Nigerias womens basketball team, DTigress, have secured a place in the semi-final of the 2025 Womens Afrobasket tournament in Cote dIvoire, following a commanding 83-47 victory over Cameroon. The quarter-final clash took place at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan. The result marks DTigress sixth consecutive semi-final appearance in the continental competition, continuing an impressive streak that dates back to 2013. Nigeria began the game in blistering form, outscoring Cameroon 21-9 in the first quarter and maintaining control to lead 41-29 at halftime. The third quarter proved decisive, with DTigress dominating both ends of the court to score 25 points while restricting their opponents to just two.
