The Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government has officially shut down its paramilitary recruitment portal.
Naija News reports that the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) disclosed this in a statement on its X handle on Monday.
The closing of the portal marked the conclusion of the application phase for individuals seeking to join Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies, including the Federal Fire Service.
The CDCFIB thanked all applicants for their enthusiasm and commitment to serving the nation.
While revealing that the shortlisted candidates will be contacted shortly, the CDCFIB advised Applicants to monitor their email and text messages over the coming weeks.
In the statement, the board said: “The official recruitment portal for the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board is now closed. We thank all applicants for their interest and commitment to serving with honour, integrity and national pride.
“Next Step! Shortlisted candidates will be contacted shortly with further instructions. Please monitor your email and text messages over the coming weeks for notifications.
“We also encourage you to regularly check the portal and social media handles for important updates.”
Recall that the Board initially opened the recruitment portal on June 26 and closed on August 4, but later extended the deadline to provide interested applicants additional opportunity to be enlisted in any of their desired paramilitary services.
