Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has revealed plans for Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger recently released from Kirikiri prison.
Naija News reports that Ovie announced that a job in Delta State with a monthly salary of ₦500,000 has been arranged for her, alongside an all-expenses-paid visit to the state.
The package includes flight tickets, accommodation in a five-star hotel, guided tours, and attendance at the Delta Social Media Summit in Asaba on August 28.
Ossai said the gesture aims to help Emmanson relax after her time in prison and urged anyone in contact with her to notify her about the offer so she can reach him directly.
He wrote on Instagram: “I’m offering Comfort Emmanson a complimentary trip to Delta State, known as the Big Heart and Home of Global Tourism Hub. Additionally, a job opportunity with a monthly salary of N500,000 has been secured for her.
“All expenses, including flight tickets, accommodation in a five-star hotel, and tour costs, will be fully covered.
“I’d like to extend an invitation for her to visit Delta State and relax after her release from Kirikiri prison. She won’t be disappointed as I will be giving her a good time.”
Emmanson had earlier spoken about the pain she felt following her release from prison.
She stated on Instagram that she needed rest and medical care before sharing her full account of the events that led to her arrest.
She was detained on August 10 after an incident aboard an Ibom Air flight, where she was accused of refusing to switch off her phone before take-off and later assaulting a flight crew member.
She was arraigned on five counts the following day and remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Facility pending bail conditions.
The case drew widespread public attention after videos surfaced showing her in a physical altercation with a flight attendant and being restrained by airport security.
The charges were eventually withdrawn by the police, leading Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami to strike out the case. Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo criticized the release of the videos and pledged action against those responsible.
Following the withdrawal of the complaints, the aviation minister confirmed that Ibom Air had lifted its lifetime ban on Emmanson.
