Nigerian celebrities, Funke Akindele, Tiwa Savage, and Toyin Abraham, have slammed a troll over a demeaning comment regarding the pregnancy announcement of media personality, Toke Makinwa.
Naija News reports that Toke Makinwa, in a post via Instagram on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, revealed that she is expecting her first child.
The 40-year-old actress described the journey as the most important and fulfilling chapter of her life.
Makinwa reflected on her hopes for 2025, saying she entered the year with a declaration that it would bring life-changing experiences.
She expressed gratitude for the timing of the pregnancy, describing it as the perfect moment and a blessing she had long awaited.
The on-air personality, known for her years in radio, television, and brand influencing, said motherhood is a role that surpasses all others she has played.
She expressed excitement about raising her child and thanked God for what she considers the biggest gift of her life.
Reacting to the post, a troll claimed that Toke is faking the pregnancy and might be using a surrogate.
She wrote, “Why do I feel it’s artificial and low-key a surrogate? However tf I’m feeling congratulations to her”.
Reacting to the comment, Toyin Abraham wrote, “Some of you will suffer from your generation till your last generation. Egun oni kuro lori e, abasha yamayam.”
Funke Akindele wrote, “Oloriburuku.”
Similarly, Tiwa Savage wrote, “You should probably delete your comment. Please just delete.”
