The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) summer transfer window is heating up as Elkanah Godsgift and Daniel Itodo become the latest stars to make notable moves.

Goalkeeper Elkanah Godsgift has officially joined NPFL side Shooting Stars on a two-year contract.

The former Bayelsa United shot-stopper brings valuable top-flight experience to the Oluyole Warriors’ camp, having previously played for Abia Warriors, Katsina United, and Akwa United.

After calling time on his stint with Bayelsa United following the 2024-2025 campaign, Godsgift now looks to challenge Mustapha Lawal for the number one jersey in Nurudeen Aweroro’s revamped squad.

The 65-cap NPFL player is seen as a steady pair of hands for a team aiming to push higher up the table this season.

Meanwhile, in Enugu, Rangers have confirmed the signing of experienced left-back Daniel Itodo.

The 28-year-old joins the Flying Antelopes after being released by Plateau United, ending a loyal 12-year spell that saw him rack up over 220 appearances and clinch the league title in 2017.

With Rangers aiming to regroup after a disappointing campaign that saw them surrender the NPFL title to Remo Stars and fall flat on the continental scene, Itodo’s arrival is expected to bring both leadership and grit to the backline.
