Court remands Abuja landlord for injuring female tenant

An Abuja magistrate court in the Dutse area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has ordered that a landlord be remanded at the federal correctional centre, Niger State, for allegedly injuring his female tenant. Prosecuting counsel, Babajide Olanipekun, told the court that the accused, Iloba Kingsley Adigwe (52), went into the room of his tenant, who lives in Byazhin across Kubwa, on August 13, 2025 and struck her in the face.  He said as a result of the landlords actions, the tenant, Joan Ighofose (42), sustained an injury to her face. In response, the accused denied the allegation and requested bail. Magistrate Abdullahi Ahmad Ilelah adjourned the matter to September 22 for a hearing, and instructed the counsel for the accused to properly lodge the bail request.The post Court remands Abuja landlord for injuring female tenant appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
