Burnley have completed the signing of striker Armando Broja from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee believed to be worth up to £20 million.
Armando Broja, a 23-year-old Albanian international, has signed a five-year contract at Turf Moor, becoming the club’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
Broja is also the second player to arrive from Chelsea this week, following the earlier signing of midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu.
Broja expressed his excitement about joining the club ahead of the new Premier League season.
“It’s a really positive time to be joining this club ahead of the start of the new Premier League season. I can’t wait to get going,” he said.
“I’m feeling good, I’m ready and I’m excited about the challenge of playing for this club.
I can already feel the support from the Burnley fans. I can tell you all that I will be giving my all every time I pull on the famous Claret shirt.”
Broja made his senior debut for Chelsea in 2020 and featured 38 times in all competitions for the Blues. He also had loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem, Southampton, Fulham, and Everton.
The striker is expected to join up with Scott Parker’s squad ahead of their pre-season friendly against Lazio this weekend.
Burnley begin their Premier League campaign on Saturday, August 16, with an away match against Tottenham Hotspur.
