A five-month-old boy did after his father allegedly forgot about him and left him in a hot car outside of a local business. Jeremy Hansens infant was found unresponsive in his vehicle in the car park of Pacha Soap Co in South Hastings, Nebraska, U.S. around 5pm on Monday, July 28. Officers with the Hastings Police Department and first responders tried to revive the boy and rushed him to Mary Lanning Healthcare about five miles away. He was pronounced de@d at the hospital. The boy, who has not been named, did of extreme heat exposure, according to an initial investigation. Temperatures in Hastings that day hit the upper 90 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the National Weather Service. Much of the state was under a heat advisory. Police arrested Hansen, 36, later on Monday. He has been charged with negligent child abuse resulting in de@th.  “This is a heartbreaking incident and our hearts go out to the family, friends, first responders and all those affected by this unimaginable loss,” stated the police department. “We extend our deepest condolences and are committed to supporting those impacted during this difficult time.” Hansen wore glasses, a white T-shirt and appeared distraught in his mugshot. He is expected to appear at Adams County Court on Friday morning, August 1. Community members are supporting Hansen. They have raised more than $33,000 for the family. “Im so deeply saddened and disappointed to see the judgement that has been cast so easily,” a former schoolmate of his wrote on social media. “Imagine your greatest fear, your largest human moment as a parent being put on display for everyone to judge, while simultaneously trying to even comprehend the events that led to your greatest loss. “He doesnt deserve this. His family doesnt deserve this. No one deserves this. Like its been said before how about we lift them up in prayer instead of tearing them down.” It happened six days after a three-year-old Alabama boy died in a hot car after being left inside for more than five hours by a daycare driver who allegedly went shopping for tobacco and food and left the vehicle in the driveway of a home. The post Infant dis in hot car after being left by dad who forgot about him appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
