Police dismiss constable for stealing goat in Taraba

The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed a constable attached to the Taraba State command for stealing a goat, highlighting the forces disciplinary measures against misconduct. An official signal from the Commissioner of Police, DFA Jalingo, addressed to the Divisional Police Officer in Mutum Biyu, identified the officer as PC Usman Mohammed, who was attached to the Mutum Biyu Division. The statement noted that the dismissal followed due disciplinary procedures and was approved under the Police Act and Regulation 370, Cap 389 of the 2010 Laws of the Federation, as amended. The offence, categorised under paragraph E of the First Schedule of the Police Act, led to the immediate termination of Mohammeds appointment, the statement said. Police authorities also directed that all official items issued to the officer, including his police identification card, be retrieved, and that his salary be stopped. His records will be updated to reflect the dismissal. The post Police dismiss constable for stealing goat in Taraba appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
