It was not an accidental touching – 81-year-old actor Gary Busey pleads guilty to s3x crime

Hollywood actor Gary Busey has pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree criminal s3xual contact, admitting to inappropriate touching during a fan event in 2022.  The 81-year-old entered his plea during a virtual court appearance before Judge Gwendolyn Blue, according to Court TV. The charge stems from an incident at the Monster-Mania Con held at the Doubletree Hotel in Camden, New Jersey, where Busey was accused of groping two female fans during a photo session. While he had previously denied the allegations, Busey has now confessed that the contact was intentional. It was not an accidental touching, he stated when questioned by Judge Blue. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors will drop the remaining charges, which included three other counts of fourth-degree criminal s3xual contact and one count of attempted fourth-degree criminal s3xual contact. Busey, best known for roles in Lethal Weapon and Under Siege, now faces one to five years of probation and financial penalties. Sentencing is scheduled to take place virtually next month. During the hearing, Buseys attorney, Blair Zwillman, argued that the indictment should be dismissed due to what he called a flawed investigation by police, claiming certain witnesses had not been interviewed. Judge Blue rejected the claim, affirming that witness testimonies had been appropriately submitted to the grand jury. Busey had previously dismissed the allegations in public comments, saying, nothing happened and claiming the encounter with the women lasted less than 10 seconds.
